Emporia Area Match Day Success!
Eskridge Park was selected to participate in the Emporia Community Foundation Match Day which was held at the Flint Hills Mall in Emporia on November 11, 2019. We were one of 16 organizations that received matching funds based on how much money we could raise that day. And we were the first organization ever chosen from Wabaunsee County! The gifts you made to the Eskridge Park Foundation had a big impact! Your donation to the park was matched on a prorated basis with each organization earning a percentage of $60,000 in matching funds. At the Match Day Celebration on December 3, Eskridge Park received in total $11,165!
Many hours of preparation and promotion went into this challenge and our community really stepped up to help us. Letters were written, donation forms sent, articles published, donation jars set out. And each time we reached out to ask for more, we were met with positive comments and happy donations. Thank you!
