Park Master Design Plan
In 2020, we partnered with Dea Brokesh of LDB Landscape Architecture and Engineering, to put our dreams for the Eskridge Park down on paper. We are so pleased to be able to share those dreams with you.

View of the corner of Main St and 4th, with new entry sign complete with beautiful landscaping. Part of the existing stream to be covered with culvert to allow for the addition of a sidewalk.
A circular sidewalk provides a lovely walking path around the historic bandstand and to the Veteran's Memorial, complete with beautiful bridges across the stream. Stone benches accompany the sidewalk on 2 sides to allow event seating. The tennis court will be refinished into a multi-purpose court with park-side fencing removed, and steps added for easier access to park.
A playground will be placed conveniently near new Pavilion area, bandstand, restrooms and stream in a well-shaded section to allow for the maximum comfort of families. Round satellite picnic pads, with tables and grills also placed through the park. The round stone building will be converted into a cozy museum to showcase the town and park's beautiful history.
The former ice skating rink will be refinished and covered with a gorgeous pointed pavilion roof to match the bandstand. Around this new open event space will be a side walk covered with beautiful arbors. The stone wall will remain intact. This thumbnail also features a pipe dream glass kitchen attached to the back of the Pavilion space to further allow for family and formal events, like concerts, weddings, fund-drives, and family reunions.

Memorial Tree Map
This map is based on the hand-drawn map living on the wall of City Hall. This map reflects those who donated trees to the park as well as what type of tree was donated. The date and author of the map are unknown to us, however, the original trees in 1903 were planted in rows, so many of these likely came later.
